How to get to Work Order Components: Click on Schedule, then Work Order Components.
This screen is used to create short codes that will bring up longer descriptions in the Work Order. This is useful for repeat explanations and forms.

  • To find an existing code, use the look up button next to the Component # field to search. To create a new code, enter a short code and click ok to add.
  • The Component Name should give a brief description of the code.
  • The Component Detail is what will be inserted into the work order.
  • The View Source box, when checked, will display the code to edit and create using HTML.
To import shorthand into the Customer Call text box in the work order, click the Import Shorthand button on the work order. A look up screen will open; enter search criteria or just click the Submit button. Click on the code for the component you would like to enter and it will appear on the Work Order.
