How to get to Parts Request Board: From the Main Menu, Click on Parts Request Board.
The parts request board is monitored by the office continually.
Any request added by technicians in the field appear in the office in blue. The technician being able to add a request from the field simplifies the parts buying procedures.
Remember, parts request can be turned into purchase order in the office and either faxed or emailed to the vendor. Technician Parts Request Board - NetServiceBooks Service Software
  • Clicking on the request number link calls up the request for preview or edit.

  • Using the Tab key on your keyboard, tab through the form. All information from the work order will be entered onto this screen.
  • Select a Work Type and Urgency from the scroll down menus.
  • The Sales Per Quote By field will attach a salesperson to the parts request and place it on the Sales Board if it needs quoted for the customer.
  • Type all notes and Comments in the text box.
  • Enter the Item #, Item Name and Quantity. The Cost will be brought in from Inventory if an Item # is entered. The PO box is an optional field; the PO number will auto fill when the Purchase Order is created from this Parts Request.
  • The Insert button will insert a line above the line that is selected. Click Delete to delete a row.
  • To add items, select the number of Rows To Add from the drop down menu and click the Add Row button.
  • Use the Template field to insert a template created in the Material Templates screen. Click the Copy button to import all the items that are in the template.
